SEMs start this week
For the next three Thursdays, our staff will be facilitating special learning opportunities calld Enrichment Clusters as part of our School-wide Enrichment Model. Be sure to ask your children about what they learned about and experienced. I would like to thank the leaders of all the clusters for the extra effort they have put in, in order to provide these opportunities.
The Clusters are:
1) IPad Photography - Mrs. Murr
2) Kumihimo (braiding) – Mr. Mills
3) Spanish language – Mrs. Gossett (K-3rd grade)
4) Working with Animals-Mrs. Fowler and Mrs. Hopkins (K-3 grade)
5) Chess (How to and Tournament) - Mrs. Pollock (2rd – 6th grade)
6) World Drumming –Mr. Simondsen (4th-6th grade)
7) Milk Magic– Mrs. Werner, Mrs. Mann
8) Learning about horses –Mrs. Bosick
9) Berry Product Making - Mrs. Abel & Mrs. Blossom
10) Fly Tying - Mr. Michael (grades 3-6)
11) Arts and Crafts–Mr. & Mrs. Hayman
12) Wind Chimes – Mrs. Granger (grades 3-6)
13) Tie-dye- Mrs. Duncan
Early Release Tomorrow
Wednesday, September 14th, school will dismiss 1.5 hours early so the teachers may work colaboratively on the following agenda:
Agenda:
Mrs. Abel – Present Character Counts- Lead discussion
Action - Staff decision- Consensus – Yes or No to move forward on acquiring materials and implementing elements of the program
Mrs. Hopkins- Lead discussion on organizing the SEM distribution. Groups have been sent to the Cluster Leaders and the classroom teachers.
Action- prepare materials, name tags and any other “get ready”
