Happy Birthday!
A Word From The Principal:
Happy New Year! The outlook is looking better for us to return to school at some point. We have effective vaccines to fight the coronavirus. Educators are in line to receive doses hopefully this spring. When we are able to have students attend school in person, we will open in a hybrid model. Half of the students will come to CTP on Monday and Tuesdays. Wednesdays will be a teacher prep day and a day for the building to be cleaned. The other half of the students will come to school on Thursday and Fridays.
We do not know a start date for this hybrid model. Our district is taking a careful and measured approach to getting schools back open with the help of our unions. At this point, we do not have additional information. Please keep watching for communication from the school district.

Unconditional Love
As I continued to receive pictures and anecdotes from staff and their pets, I felt my heart was going to burst with the cuteness overload. I can see and understand the staff's love and adoration for their pets. Here are pictures of our fabulous staff with their adorable pets. Enjoy!

Alicia with Macy and Juice
No, dear viewers, Alicia does not own 7 dogs; she just loves taking pictures of Macy and Juice. And who can blame her? Macy is 11 years old and is a hound. She likes to sleep all day, howl at UPS drivers, and beg for treats. Juice, a black lab, is 3 months old. She loves playing fetch, bothering her big sister, Macy, and meal times!

Communication Class
Now You're Talking
Another key activity is when students must follow directions on how to make something. This activity strengthens listening skills and encourages effective ways to ask for help. Students have had to be more detailed with their words when asking for help in order to have a successful outcome.
Cooperative Counting has also been an empowering activity. Here, students are encouraged to speak up instead of typing their answers.Students are urged to turn on their cameras because it is vital that students see each other's facial cues to know when to say a number out loud. These are just a few of the successful activities designed to help students become better communicators.
