Has your child turned 3 or 4 years old in the past few months? Will they turn 3 or 4 before the end of the year? Do you know someone who might be interested in preschool for their child? Are you interested in OnLine Preschool?

BELA Weekly Class Newsletters

Our BELA classroom teachers are hard at work putting together weekly newsletters for their families. They are working on emailing or printing these for you to have each week.


If you have not yet received a newsletter or talked to your teacher about how you would like to get your child's class newsletter, please let them know ASAP. If you need additional supports, please contact Angela Feder, Director or Lisa Mock, Assistant Director at (970)874-9517

Can I Go To School Today?

Please refer to the following document on guidance on when your child is ok to go to school. At-home screenings should be happening at home prior to coming to school. Your child's temperature will be checked prior to entry into any of our preschool locations. If your child presents a fever, you will be asked to take your child home. Thank you for your cooperation to keep our students, staff and community safe.

Backpack Program Ready to Hand Out First Boxes of the New School Year!


The Backpack Program is Coming Your Way! Each BELA class should receive a PowerAnnouncer as to your date and time for pick up. Families should have also heard from our wonderful Backpack Ladies with details about their exchange.


Outlying Delta County Families: The Backpack Program will be in your area this week for your FIRST BACKPACK BOX PICK UP!! The Backpack Ladies will be in our big white van from 11-1pm in partnership with each community's elementary school.

Delta Family Center

The Delta Family Center has been serving families since 1992 and is comprised of: The Backpack Program, The Backpack Early Learning Academy (BELA Preschool), and The Family Resource Center. The Backpack Program is FREE and open to all 3-5 year olds in Delta County. The BELA Preschool has locations in Delta, Hotchkiss, Paonia and Cedaredge, with a partner preschool in Crawford.
