DRA/EDL Database is close!
Thank you so much for being so diligent in inputting your data accurately up on Eduphoria. Database is close now. SBISD, following the Texas Education Code, will proceed to notify parents of students in K-2nd of Reading performance based on DRA/EDL assessments.

Remember these assessments are formative with the purpose of informing K-1st grade teachers of where to start instruction with critical learning phases of math.
Instructional decisions are based on the interviews with each student.
Database is changing based on the needs of these grade level teachers. However, we are still looking for the “A” - ready to apply.
Window for Math Assessments K-1st will close on October 30th.
Let's All Read Across the Globe!
What is Read Across the Globe?
§ Points of Light, Deloitte, the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, and Volunteer Houston – along with other sponsors, nonprofits and affiliates across the U.S. and in 30 countries – will join forces across the globe on October 19, 2015 to shine a light on literacy! By working across time zones and with hundreds of partners, we hope to read to the most children ever in a 24-hour period. Join us in a campaign to emphasize the power of volunteers to impact literacy in your community.
- Farmer Will Allen and the Growing Table by Jacqueline Briggs Martin will be the book volunteers will use to read to kids.
- All volunteers will be required to read the same book/s to participating children as part of Read Across the Globe in compliance with Guinness.
