Tiger Tales
Newsletter #37 - May 30, 2023
Memorial Day is a day where we honor and remember the the sacrifices of US military personnel who died while serving our country. While it is a somber day, it reminds us to appreciate the opportunities made possible by those who came before us and to realize our responsibilities to do our very best. Post Memorial Day weekend also signifies the sprint ahead to the finish of another school year. In the remaining weeks ahead, we look forward to Band and Orchestra music concerts, Field Day, and the culminating promotion event for our 5th graders and their families. Our students and staff have worked hard to wrap up a majority of our Smarter Balanced testing last week, and our staff are starting to plan for next year with class and leadership team configurations.
As we look toward June, we are continually grateful for everyone's support to achieve a successful school year.
In partnership,
Kati & Betty

Class Projections for 2023-2024
Based on district projections, we are expected to have an increase in classes for next year, including the addition of Pre-school at our school.
Pre-school: 2 classrooms
Kindergarten: 3 classrooms
1st Grade: 3 classrooms
2nd Grade: 4 classrooms
3rd Grade: 4 classrooms
4th Grade: 4 classrooms
5th Grade: 4 classrooms
To plan for next year, we strive to create balanced classrooms from social-emotional to academics. When staff return in August, we revisit student placements prior to families being notified of placements. Please know that even if you see a teacher’s name attached to your child(ren)’s profile in applications such as ParentVue for Synergy or Clever over the course of the summer, this is not a finalized placement until you have been contacted by your child(ren)’s new teacher(s). As in the past years, classroom teachers will contact families on August 30th.
