Talent Show
Friday and Saturday's fundraiser helps us to make service projects possible. This year, we want to help Liberty High School teacher, Mr. Peggs. His son, Drew Peggs, was born on December 8, 2017, weighing four pounds. He was six weeks early so he was taken to the NICU/Special Care Nursery. MRI results show that Drew has a possible cyst in the Pia Mater of the brain that turned into a stroke that then turned into a hemorrhage. He was transferred to STL Cardinal Glennon on December 20 and discharged on January 8.
We are hoping to support his health & happiness and assist with medical bills and baby needs. Join us this Friday night at 7 pm for our first annual Talent Show and help support Drew!

Ignite Program Success!
Two students currently enrolled in the Districts Ignite program shared with the Board their experience working within the field so far this year as part of their school day. Wyatt Cleveland is a senior at Liberty High School and participates in the startup business strand of Ignite. Savannah Rackovan is also a senior at Liberty, and she participates in the healthcare strand of the program, which is in its first year. They both expressed their excitement and appreciation for the opportunity to be mentoring and learning hands-on in a professional environment.
The WSD is also moving ahead with other St. Charles County school districts to form The St. Charles County CAPS Consortium in order to collectively expose more students to the opportunity. Wentzville currently has 34 students participating in the healthcare and business solutions strands. Francis Howell is establishing a strand in industrial technology. The consortium will combine all of these strands, and the students of the Wentzville School District will have access to all of three programs, increasing the number of seats for WSD students to approximately 57 for next year.
