The end is near! After a busy week with STAAR, we only have three more weeks of school left to teach our students before they break for the summer. That's exactly 12 days of school left -- not including the time we will spend on ACPs, Career Day, Field Day, and our awards assemblies. As we begin ACPs begin this week, please use the precious time left to ready your students for these important end of year assessments. It's only natural for them to be anxious and excited as the school year winds down to an end, however your guidance and leadership in the classrooms will let them know that we still have very important work to do before the last day of school. Take it day by day and enjoy the last few weeks with your students!
Here is important information for this coming week:
Homeroom teachers, don't forget to collect your students' signed ELL Progress Letters! These are super important as you will need to have these ready for our May 24th LPAC CUM Party during which you will add them in your students' LPAC folders.
All remaining summative evaluation conferences have been scheduled for this week. Everyone should have received an Outlook invite with your scheduled time. Thank you for being prompt! After this conference, you will be able to continue registering for your remaining summer Personalized Professional Learning & Development (or P2LD) courses.
All reading teachers, EOY (end-of-year) DRA and EDL data is due by Friday, May 27th. If you have any questions or need support, please consult David Rodriguez!
It’s that time of year again – time to see whether or not your students have accomplished your Student Learning Objective (SLO)! Many of you have already given your students their post-test or have collected the appropriate data to see whether or not your students have achieved your SLO. If not, you a few more weeks to do so. Your SLO student score sheet (only) is to be submitted to your official evaluator (either Mrs. Johnson or myself) in Schoolnet no later than this Wednesday, May 18th. Late submissions may not be scored in time for our administrative deadline, so it’s important to meet this deadline. Should you have any questions on completing your SLO score sheet, I’ve cc’ed your coaches and you are always welcome to consult us as well! Please click on the button below to access your SLO score sheet template and find other helpful resources!
For all additional "stuff" that's due within the next few weeks, please click on the button below so that you stay in the loop! This is the same sheet I gave teachers during our meeting last Tuesday.
This week, the Dallas ISD's Evaluation and Assessment department will release two important results that may impact a few of teachers' TEI effectiveness level for 2016-2017. They are:
- 3rd-5th grade student survey results which are available Monday, May 16.
