Expanded due to doctor shortage, the MD Class of 2020 is the largest ever at JABSOM

Today, the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) will welcome 70 new students at the annual "White Coat Ceremony." The MD Class of 2020 is the largest class in recent history. Due to Hawaiʻi's physician shortage, the number of students has gradually expanded over the last four years.

Research led by Dr. Linda Chang: Alzheimer's gene may show effects on brain starting in childhood

A gene associated with Alzheimer's disease and recovery after brain injury may show its effects on the brain and thinking skills as early as childhood, according to Dr. Linda Chang's study published in Neurology.
