* DLC raised $896.00 for the Wreaths Across America program. The program provides wreaths to be placed on tombstones at Military Cemeteries.
DLC finished their Bullying unit and now beginning lessons on the Attack of Pearl Harbor. December 7 was the 75th anniversary.

HMMS Youth Service Center
Monday, December 19th from 4pm-9pm is Henry Moss Middle Youth Service Night at the ICE Skating Rink downtown behind Skypac. Bring a non-perishable food item and get in for only $5.00. Normal admission is $10. Come join us!
Reminder... if you clean out your closets over the break, please consider donating to the YSC. You can take to Goodwill and ask for an inter-agency receipt so that we can give families free vouchers.
Give Kids A Smile Day
Give Kids a Smile Day is February 3, 2017. This is a program that provides free dental screenings and treatment for local area children without insurance, medical card, or any other form of third party coverage. Please contact Destiny Dental at 270-842-3554 to make an appointment if you meet the following guidelines; -Under the age of 18, no dental coverage, willing to have dental work done, and parents are able to be with them at the day of the screening and treatment or sign a consent form for the treatment.
LIHEAP Subsidy
Applications are now being accepted for help with heating bills. Please call Community Action at 1-800-456-3452.
HMMS Band
The band marched in the Bowling Green Christmas Parade on December 3rd.
Family Consumer Science
BETA
Beta is sponsoring a canned food drive. Any student who brings at least 4 cans, may wear pajamas on December 16. The homeroom who brings in the most cans will receive free admission to the quarter rewards party.
Food will be collected in the gym each morning. Each grade has items they are to bring. See posters or any beta member to find out what items are needed. Help the community and bring in cans!
Beta members also have a community service opportunity December 17 from 8:30-12:00 working with Toys for Tots.
Lady Dragon Basketball
The Lady Dragon 8th grade recognition night will be on Monday, December 12th. The recognition will take place at half time of the 7th grade game. 8th grade parents will need to arrive by 5:45. Please come out and support our 8th graders as they play their last home game.
