Career On Wheels Presenters Needed
Dear Parents,
Meadowlark 3rd grade students will be attending the 22nd annual COWs event (Careers on Wheels) held for all Andover 3rd graders on Friday, April 28th, from 9:15-11:15 a.m. This event will be held outdoors in the parking lot beside the 13th Street Park Community Building in Andover. In the event of rain, the event will be held inside the community building.
If you would be willing to share information about your career with the students, please contact me for consideration as a presenter. The format is such that students move in groups among presenters in the parking lot from 9:15-11:15 a.m. Each Presenter will speak for about 5-10 minutes per group telling about their job, education requirements, and how school relates to work. Sometimes presenters pass out “goodies” from their business such as pens, stickers, candy, etc., but this is optional. If your job has a work or utility vehicle that you can bring to the event that would be great, but it’s not a requirement. We are asking that presenters arrive between 8:45 and 9:00 in order to have everyone in place by the time the students arrive.
If interested, you can call me at 316-218-4630, send an email to holcombb@usd385.org or fill out the bottom of this letter and return it to me by Friday, April 14th.
Sincerely,
Brooke Holcomb
