Writing: Jack Daw Project assigned Wednesday 9/4/13 Due Tuesday 9/10/13;

Writing Focus: Paragraph formation (topic sentence, supporting details, conclusion)


Math and Science

Math Topic: ordering decimals, looking for patterns in decimals, Thursday test on Topic 1 (study guide home on Wednesday for homework)

Science: Scientific Method; What makes a good data table or graph;

We will be starting eco columns soon - please save your 2 liter bottles and send them in with your student

Social Studies

Geography

Big Idea Unit 1: How does where you live influence how you live?


We will be reviewing the continents, oceans, major waterways in the USA and mountain ranges in the USA ( Rockies, Appalachian, St. Lawrence River, Missippi River, Missouri River, Great Lakes and Ohio River)

Things You Should Know

Permission slips for Colonial America Living History Experience will be coming home on Monday and are due back to school by Thursday, September 12th. We will travel by bus to Archbishop Hoban High School for the presentation. On September 17th we will depart from Seiberling at 9:00 and return around 11:15. There is no cost to attend.
