LMS Tiger Talk
December 16, 2022
Principal's Message
Today brings a close to a fun-filled final week of 2nd quarter. Our students started their day today in the gymnasium for holiday music performances from our band, choir, and strings students before turning our attention to some friendly team-based competitions including a scooter derby, a basketball shooting challenge, and some brain games! After students spent the rest of the day with their teams, we ended the day cheering on our wrestlers with an in-school wrestling meet where we welcomed teams from Milford and Nagle to compete against our Tigers. Thanks to all the staff responsible for the work that goes into pulling off these fun experiences for our students!
A reminder there will be no school from December 19th-January 2nd and our student's first day back to school after winter break will be Tuesday, January 3rd. With the close of the 2nd quarter today, teachers will be submitting final grades which will be posted to TigerParent.me after our return from winter break on Friday, January 6th. Many students will be starting new semester classes upon their return, and your updated second-semester schedule can be found via TigerParent.me this Monday, 12/19.
We wish your family a wonderful winter break and a joyful holiday season. A happy new year to you all and will see everyone back here at LMS in 2023!
Take care and Go Tigers!

LMS Principal
MINT PTSA Hot Chocolate Day!
Big thanks to our fabulous MINT PTSA for the hot chocolate treat for students at lunch on Thursday! Supplying all the students at LIS and LMS on this day takes a ton of effort and we appreciate all the hands that go into making this happen. Yum!
Choir A Capella Performances
Is it Pentatonix? Nope, just our amazingly talented and creative LMS Tigers students performing their own a capella numbers in Mrs. Stagg's choir classes this week! Covering songs ranging from the Backstreet Boys to Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift, our kids sounded great!
Holiday Hoedown
Students from LHS, LMS and LIS Adaptive PE classes participated in a “Holiday Hoedown” earlier this week. With everything from dance routines to therapy ponies and even a visit from Santa (he looked a lot like
Superintendent Broadwater), it was such a fun event!

Attn 8th Grade Families: Four Year Graduation Plan
The 8th-grade students participated in career exploration activities in the first quarter. Now is the time to start using this information for planning purposes. Each student needs to complete the Four Year Graduation Plan in order to be ready to make the most of the academic offers at Loveland High School. Please follow these steps with your student at home to complete this required activity:
+ Log into Naviance (from the "waffle" in Clever when in the student Google account), click on Self-Discovery then Career Cluster Finder.
+ Go over the report to discuss the top-scoring cluster matches; click on those that are most interesting to discuss considerations around those career fields.
+ After this, ask your student about what was appealing about the careers that have been added to their "favorite" list.
+ Using that information, please take a look at the Loveland Career Pathways that are connected to these career clusters - Loveland Career Pathways. The pathway documents can be used to help with completing the Four Year Plan.
+ Lastly, click on the Home tab in Naviance and scroll to the bottom of this page to find the form to complete the Four-Year Plan. Allow for approximately 15 minutes to complete this. All of the directions are included in the form.
The due date for completion of the Four Year Plan is Wednesday, December 7. Specific course scheduling information will be shared once we get closer to January. Feel free to reach out to Mr. Mitchell (mitchedr@lovealndschools.org) with any questions.
