A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL SALCIDO
Happy Halloween Castro Families!!
I will be working on posting our amazing Halloween pictures this weekend so make sure you look at the Castro Facebook and Instagram pages! The students were so adorable in their costumes and never stopped learning!
For the 3rd week in a row the Covid testing has gone very smoothly and we have been all negative! Please continue to tell your child how great it is that they can swab their own nose and make sure all of us are healthy at Castro.
Next week, we start the part of the Learning Recovery Plan with a tutor supporting each grade level during the small group, RTI/WIN time. The projected start date for student tutoring, either virtual or after school is the second week of November. Stayed tuned for the exact day your student will have tutoring!
Finally, I wanted to let you know that the first quarter ends on November 5th and that report cards will be going home on November 19th. If you have any questions once you get the report cards, please feel free to email or contact your child’s teacher for an appointment. If you need translation support, the teacher will alert the office and we will be happy to help.
Sincerely,
Mr. Salcido

We will do our best to address your question during the session.
Note: While this presentation is tailored towards families with children in third grade and above, all are welcome. If you’d like to see a presentation that is aimed more toward families with younger students, check out the recording of last year’s literacy-focused Parent University event.
