Thank you families for your patience as we develop plans to safely reopen the school for hybrid learning. All updates regarding hybrid learning, cohorts, etc. will be updated to this newsletter's web browser version! Continue to check back for more updates!

Update #8 - Open Periods

Students with open periods, and provide their own transportation, should report to their first assigned class listed on their schedule. For example, if a student has an open first period, the student should arrive at the start of their third period class by 7:50am. The student will report to third period for both days of their cohort.


Students with open periods, and who ride the bus, should report to the Nest (new library) located on the second floor of Building A during their scheduled open period.

Update #7 - School Schedules

Students can access their school schedule via Infinite Campus. Room numbers are listed for each teacher on the schedule. Students in Cohort A and B should access this schedule to help them locate their physical classrooms while on campus.

Update #6 - Banker

Student, assigned to Cohort A or B, who need to pay fees, club expenses, AP exams, etc. can visit the banker while on campus during their assigned school days.


Students assigned to Cohort C and all parents must contact the banker by phone at 702-799-7500 ext 4044 to complete payment transactions. There is no credit card fee for processing payments over the phone.


The Southeast Tech webstore is also accessible for banking needs; however, a small transaction fee will be added.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that all safety measures and precautions are observed when your student walks to and/or from their assigned stop. Contact CCSD Transportation at 702-799-8100 immediately if you have any concerns regarding transportation assignment for your student(s).

Update #1 - Parking

Students must register to park at Southeast Tech. Vehicle registration can be completed via email.

Details & Timelines

General Hybrid Details

  • Students will continue to attend each of their classes virtually through their Chromebook or personal device
  • Students in Cohort A will be on campus from 6:40 am-10:30 am Monday and Tuesday
  • Students in Cohort B will be on campus from 6:40 am-10:30 am Thursday and Friday
  • Enhanced cleaning will take place on Wednesday and Friday.
  • Students in Cohort A and B will see at least two different teachers per day
  • Students in Cohort C will continue to learn online and will not report to campus for instruction.
  • Requests to change cohorts will be confirmed by March 14th.


School Day Details - Cohort A & B


  • Classes will begin promptly at 7am each day for all students.
  • Classrooms will have limited capacity, counts are based on the room's square footage.
  • One passing period will occur to safely move students between classes on campus.
  • Bathrooms will be restricted to 2 students at a time.
  • Students should bring their own headphones to school for use in classes. Headphones will be available for use from Southeast Tech, if needed.
  • Bring your Chromebook, or your own device, each day. Chromebooks will be available for check out on the first few days of school.
  • Families, please screen your students for symptoms prior to them attending school. Students must stay at home if symptoms are present.



School Day Details - Cohort C


  • Classes will begin promptly at 7am each day for all students.
  • Cohort C (full distance learning) will move between all classes, virtually, on Google Meets
  • School day schedules will be the same as Cohort A & B.



Timeline

March 22, 2021: Students grades 9 and 12 return to face-to-face instruction twice a week depending on students assigned cohort

April 6, 2021: Students grades 10-11 will return to face-to-face instruction twice a week depending on a student's assigned cohort

Changing Cohorts

To request a change in a cohort please fill out the form at secta.link/cohortchange. We will do our best to accommodate cohort changes but please be aware that we can not guarantee any cohort change to Cohort A or B due to current room occupation guidelines that we have received from the CDC and the Clark County School District. A change to cohort A or B may result in the loss of bus transportation.


**Please submit any request for cohort changes by Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch will be offered to all. Breakfast bag pick up will be from the Commons cafeteria windows. Students may eat in allotted seating in the Commons or allotted seating outside at picnic tables, not classrooms. "Grab and go" lunch bag pick up will be from the Commons cafeteria windows. No eating lunch on campus unless student is an athlete staying for practice.

Transportation

Transportation is set for the original cohort assigned. If a family requested a change to cohorts, transportation will likely be available after April 6th.

Athletics

The SE TECH Athletic Department is so excited to welcome our Student Athletes back to the courts and fields! Here are a couple reminders for returning and new student athletes. Please also read through the attached flier for all information. See you all soon. GO TECH!


  • Students CANNOT step foot on a field/court for the spring season for any reason, until they are cleared in Register My Athlete (including paying the banker).
  • If your athletic packet on Register My Athlete are not complete by tryout dates, you will not be able to tryout.
  • If you need help completing your Athletic Packet in Register My Athlete, please call our Athletic Secretary, Kathy Ryan at 702-799-7500X4200 or our contact our Athletic Director at michart@nv.ccsd.net
  • Returning students, who were rostered last year do not need a new physical, but they absolutely do have to complete RMA for the 20-21 season in order to update and complete new forms.
  • All freshmen and any student who was not rostered last year MUST get a physical. There are no exceptions to this.
  • Fall Intramural information is forthcoming. For clarification, there will only be Fall Season Intramurals. There will not be a Fall Season of competition.
  • Unfortunately, we are not offering any physical nights this year.
