It's Me, Seth Willoughby
Autobiography
I was born and raised on a farm in the little city of Smithville, Tennessee. I am the youngest of 5 children. I grew up playing every kind of sport there was and being outside every chance I had which still hasn't changed to this day. I attended DeKalb County High School where I played basketball and tennis, was a member of various clubs, and graduated in 2010.
A Little Ways Down the Road
I started college at Tennessee Technological University in the fall of 2010 with no idea what I really wanted to do. I went through the first couple years only taking general curriculum classes exploring all my interests and options. One day at church a long time friend of the family, and TWRA Officer of DeKalb County, talked to me about checking into Wildlife Fishery Sciences at TTU. So, I did and I graduated from TTU in the Spring of 2015 with a Wildlife Fishery Science Degree. I had every intention of applying for jobs within my field of study, but I received a call one day saying my old high school was in need of a Biology teacher. I contacted the Principal and I was hired!
Current
I just finished my second year of teaching Biology at DeKalb County High School. I am currently the Boys' Assistant Basketball Coach and the Head Coach of Boys' and Girls' Tennis. I also am working towards my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Biology. I have also recently taken over the family farm. It's kind of funny how everything works out. I must say I am super blessed!
