Reminder About PowerSchool
This is a reminder for parents to make sure you frequently log into PowerSchool. You can check your child's grades, attendance, pay fees, update contact information, and more. It is critical that you keep your contact information up to date so you can receive important updates. Keeping your information updated includes phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts, and who can pick up your child from school. We also ask that at least one contact is marked as having custody and who they live with. This is important as that is who receives robocalls and emails. With snowy season on the horizon, we want to make sure we can contact everyone in case of emergencies. If you need assistance logging into PowerSchool please email support@sd171.org.

NHS Literacy Night Recap
Hello Sunnybrook Families! National Hale hosted an in-person Literacy Night themed Lights, Camera, Read. There were over 100 families who participated in this event, making it a huge success. November 17th, from 5:30-7:00 we welcomed families by having the first 10 participants who entered walk away with a bag of free books. Nathan Hale teachers were eager to host reading centers: Book Walk, Reading BINGO, and Reading Under The Stars to name a few. Mr. Kent served delicious popcorn. The Lansing Library made a special appearance and families really enjoyed the selfie station. We even incorporated "Reading Spirit Week" to build excitement about the event. Photos were posted of our creative students dressing as their favorite book characters. These photos were on display at Family Literacy Night where parents and guardians were able to immerse themselves into NH's Reading Spirit Week.
