Beginning Wednesday, No Scripts During Play Practice!
The fourth graders are getting excited about their upcoming performance, March 23 and 24th, and hopefully now all have their lines memorized. Beginning this Wednesday, the students are asked not to use their scripts during our play practice, so please make sure your child is prepared. We are only one month away from opening night. Please remember that your child needs to bring their costume to school by March 2nd. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.
Visit with BIG NATE author, Lincoln Peirce, was a huge hit!
Today's visit with Lincoln Peirce, author of the the hilarious Big Nate book series was a great success. The students loved hearing about his life, his love of comics, and the inspiration behind his very popular books. In addition to being an author, Mr. Peirce is also a cartoonist/writer and New York Times bestselling author with his books now published in 25 countries worldwide. He is the creator of the comic strip Big Nate which appears in over 300 U.S. newspapers. Big thanks to Mrs. Anne Britt and the Garden District Book Shop for making today's visit possible.
Mardi Gras Beads Galore!
Thank you to all our students and families for the enormous amount of Mardi Gras beads that were brought in to donate to St. Michael's School and The Strive Center. We definitely kept the middle school students busy picking up and weighing our daily bead delivery! The beads will be donated to St. Michael's and The Strive Center, where they will be cleaned, re-strung, and sold. Thank you again for your generosity and support!
