Blended AT HOME Learning Expectations (PLEASE READ)
Because of this unique situation, it is imperative that students not miss their in person days, come late, or leave early. Please make every effort to schedule all appointments and other non academic activities for their virtual days - keeping in mind students will still have work to complete on their virtual days.
Students will still LIVE ZOOM with SPECIALS TEACHERS on their virtual days, EXCEPT PE.
Birthday/Class Treats
Please never send anything with nuts! You may drop off snacks at the front window of the school.
Fall Parites
Snacks/drinks can be sent in to help the students celebrate. However, each snack must be individually wrapped and store bought. Parents may drop snacks off at the front window. Please no snacks or candy with nuts!
Students may wear costumes. Please no scary costumes, props of any kind (including pretend weapons, buckets, wands, etc.)to go along with the costume. REGULAR MASKS MUST BE WORN. Students may NOT wear costume masks.
The parties will be at the end of the day. Students may wear their costumes all day, but please be mindful that they will have to be school appropriate and they will have recess and/or PE in these costumes. Students will not have the ability to change later in the day as this would take too long in our restricted environment.

Virtual Calming Room
Melanie Schaeperkoetter, LMSW, School Based Therapist from Cornerstones of Care at GMS and MCM, created a virtual calming room which is a website with activities, games, guided meditations, yoga videos and more. The website also has information regarding our programming and how students or parents could get connected. Right now, everyone could use a little extra support, so I hope this helps provide it to you as well as your students. Please take a few moments to check it out...and take care of yourself!
Meal Pick Up
Breakfast AND Lunch meal pickup is FREE for every student.
What if I am late, need to speak to the office, or have something to drop off/pick up.
If you need to drop off or pick up students or things (such as a forgotten lunch or medication) you must park in the front of the school, come to the office window and knock. We will help you from there.
Medication
ALL medication must have the prescription with the medication, clearly marked with student names.
Students with asthma or severe food allergies will need to submit an action plan to our School Nurse. If you have questions about this, please call the office.

Codivate Missouri!
More than ever, learning how to code is a crucial part of understanding how the world works, no matter what you do or where you’re from.
Codivate is a completely student-run nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids develop their computational thinking skills and teaching them how to create practical programs with code.
All too often, students turn to traditional coding programs that place emphasis on the nitty-gritty language-specific details of it all. Codivate uses the dynamic combination of hands-on activities and carefully curated curriculum to make learning coding as fun as it can be.
