First Day of School for 1-8th grade students is Tuesday, August 16 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Kindergarten students begin on Thursday, August 18th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
6:15-7:00 - Internet Safety Presentation in the Red Brick Building
7:00-7:30 - New Parent Orientation in the Red Brick Building (all new parents are invited to come learn more about JHCS)

First Day of School Schedule
- Tuesday, August 16th - 1st - 8th Grade students
- Drop off between 8:15 am - 8:25 am
- Students arrive in uniform - Monday uniform not required for the first day of school
- 8:30 am - 12:30 pm - no lunch
- Thursday, August 17th - Kindergarten students
- 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Immunization Clinic
The following vaccines will be available at Back to School night. No appointment is necessary and we bill most insurance. If you are interested, please fill out the consent form, scan it, and email it to me, Alicia Gardiner-Braegger Pharm. D., at aliciagardiner@yahoo.com .
Tdap
· All preteens should get one Tdap shot when they are 11 or 12 years old. This vaccine is required before entering 7th grade in many school districts.
Meningococcal
· All 11 to 12 year olds should be vaccinated with a single dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine.
· Older teens need a second shot when they are 16 years old so they stay protected when their risk is the highest.
HPV
· The HPV vaccine is recommended for girls and boys 11 or 12 years of age.
· HPV vaccine is given as a 3-dose series
o 1st Dose - Now
o 2nd Dose - 1 to 2 months after Dose 1
o 3rd Dose - 6 months after Dose 1
