Why were the pyramids built in the shape of a traingle?

The pyramid was shaped like a triangle because they believed that the dead pharaoh could climb up to sky and live forever. Also, they represented rays of the sun. Finally, they built the pyramid like a triangle because it represented the first land to appear at the beginning of time a hill called Ben-Ben.

Who built the pyramids?

Although a lot of people think the pyramids were built by slaves, they weren't. There has been traces of village people in the pyramids. Some of the workers were full time, but most were temporary. Some of the workers could have been women, but nothing has been found yet.

How were the pyramids built?

The basic pyramids were built with a square base and four triangular sides connecting to a point. It took about 20,000 to 30,000 people to build the pyramids and it took about 23 years.

Why are these great structures one of the seven wonders of the ancient world?

The great pyramids are one of the seven wonders of the world because they are the oldest wonders and they are still standing there today. It is also the world's largest structure out of the seven.
