Ways to encourage a healthy relationship
WHAT DOES HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP MEAN?

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU'RE IN A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP?
- You're supportive.
- You respect one another.
- Trust each other.
- Respect each other's privacy.
- You're honest to each other.
- Able to disagree respectfully.
Being supportive
You encourage your partner when they need and when you have problems, you tell them you need their support.

You and your partner both values the other's feelings and things they want.
Trusting each other
You trust your partner. You truly know them and feel respected by them.
KEYS TO A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP:
RESPECT EACH OTHER'S PRIVACY
You don't have to share everything, or always be together. You both have your personal space/time and your partner respects that.
YOU'RE HONEST
You don't hide things from your partner, cheat or say something did not happen when it did.
DISAGREEING RESPECTFULLY
Although you disagree, you accept his/her opinion. You disagree in a respectful manner.
BEING IN AN UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP
An unhealthy relationship is when your partner makes you feel uncomfortable, sad and/or afraid. It could possibly be an abusive relationship. If this happens, you should get out of the relationship as soon as possible.
