MARCH
Welcoming March
Hello families!
A 2 hour delay to start off March! Wow, what fun we have had with weather in the last week. After answering many phone calls today about our school start time and when buses will pick up students, I am reminded of the importance of being connected to Parent Square or checking the Beaverton School District website for updates. Links to both are below!

We spent time in February celebrating acts of kindness with a paper chain lining our halls (see image below). We are now moving into an opportunity to highlight and celebrate reading in our Read Across Chehalem Week which will be March 13-17th. This is a school-wide chance to celebrate literacy; one of the biggest depicters of students' school success. We will share books, stories and celebrations around us as readers all that week. More details about each days activities will be coming soon via Parent Square and in Friday Folders. One event that will be happing during Read Across Chehalem Week will be Chehalem's Book Character Dress-Up Day - you are welcome to start brainstorming with your child book characters to dress up as. But please no weapons or masks.
Happy March all!
Melissa Holz
