Spring Is Almost Here....
We have had some nice "glimmers" of spring time weather over the past few weeks---it has been nice to get out and about but really, we can't wait for warmer weather!
Our students have done an outstanding job representing Mogadore in the past few months--from participation in the Kent State All-Star Band, OMEA District 6 Junior High Honor Band and Choir, to Solo and Ensemble participation---our students have been busy!
We have several upcoming events in the program in the coming months! First, we have the OMEA Large Group Adjudicated Event for our High School Band and Choir. Next up, we have our Spring Musical--Suessical, JH March 30-April 1. In addition, our junior high students are preparing for the OMEA District 6 Junior High Solo and Ensemble Contest, April 15. Plus much more!
Additionally, March is Music in Our School's Month---For more than 30 years, March has been officially designated by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) for the observance of Music In Our Schools Month, the time of year when music education becomes the focus of schools across the nation.
This newsletter celebrates the successes in the program from the past few months and details some of our upcoming musical experiences this month, and throughout the spring! We look forward to seeing you at our next event!

OMEA Junior High Large Group Adjudicated Event---Hosted at MOGADORE!!!!
We have an exciting opportunity coming up in May for our program! We have agreed to host the OMEA Junior High Large Group Adjudicated Event here at Mogadore! The event will take place Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6. This opportunity will provide a wonderful musical experience for our students in Summit, Portage, Medina, and Wayne County Schools.
To put this event into perspective---I like to think of this event as an indoor "bandshow", but a little more formal. We will need as many volunteers as possible to make this a great experience for the participating schools, students (and ourselves).
Please complete the form below to indicate your availability and interest in positions. Thank you for your consideration.
