#grant$4U&U&U!

Happy New Year to all! And it's a VERY Happy New Year for lots of our educators who received GREAT NEWS on their grant proposals right before the holidays. In December, 11 teachers or teams of teachers were awarded Bosch ECO+STEM awards for implementing STE(A)M activities into their lessons. Congratulations to Melissa Bryan, Christie Moore, Katie Cantrell, Abigail Montesi, Melinda Butler, Michelle Traynum, Sydney Phillips, Lindsay Morgan, Erin Darnell, Ciara Fowler, and Adam Cobb (and their writing teams) for netting $19,863 in BEST grant funding.

Anderson Five Teachers go above and beyond for their students every day. We are proud of their efforts to make sure their students have everything they need to learn and thrive in their classrooms.

There is still time to get a grant this year. For grant requests that might fit your classroom needs, see the open Requests for Proposals below.

SC Arts Commission Teacher Grants

Teachers may apply directly with each school capped at $3000 per year. There are two rounds of grants still open - applications are due Feb. 7 and March 7.

Autism Speaks Grant Awarded

Autism Speaks, a national foundation providing research, advocacy, services, and support to help people with autism and those who support them thrive, awarded the Local Impact grant to teachers in our Special Education department this past December as well. The teachers submitted outstanding ideas for Assistive Devices and Multi-Sensory Environments which netted $4300 in funding. Congratulations to Lisa Lipscomb, McKenzie Moules, and Amanda Eubanks - your students are going to love their new learning tools!
