Speeding Kills
Speeding is the biggest cause of deaths on NSW roads. Statistics from 2000 onwards in the crash behavioral factors show that speeding causes about twice as many deaths as fatigue-related crashes. Speeding is involved in about 40 per cent of road deaths.

Speeding remains the greatest cause of death and injuries on our roads, contributing to about 40 per cent of road fatalities. Statistics from speed-related crashes from 2008 to 2012 showed:
- About 818 were killed
- More than 4100 people were injured each year
