Principal's Note
Parents, Families, Guardians:
I'm sad about the outcome and I'm sure your children are too! Our hope was always to come back to school this spring and finish the year together. We will not be able to end our school year together, but we will continue to find ways to continue connecting as a community. Virtual learning will continue until June 9th. Please know, we will also find ways to celebrate our 5th graders before sending the off to middle school! If you have ideas, please feel free to share them as well!
A couple of reminders:
- We are taking attendance each day based on work attempted and completed on google classroom. The app WebEx Teams is here for us to connect with video chat to help with classwork as well as to connect as close to face-to-face as we can right now. All classrooms have daily class meetings - be sure to ask for help if you are struggling with joining this app.
With having virtual learning extended, it is more important that we figure out how we can make this work for each child and family.
- There will be information shared in the coming weeks on how families can pick up any personal items left behind from your students. Those details are beginning to be worked out and we will share when we have it.
Please know, we are here for you if there is anything we can do to help, please ask!!
With the love and support of one another, we will get through this. We are honored to work with your children everyday....even if it is virtually.

Virtual Daily Attendance!
Teachers will be recording daily attendance in Infinite Campus between 3pm and midnight daily. Attendance will be indicated by student engagement in activity with classwork assigned. If you need help with Google Classroom, WebEx or anything - please reach out sooner than later so we can help!
If a student cannot participate in their virtual expectations because he/she is sick, please use the attendance line to call students in sick as normal. 262-970-2805.
Student Expectations for Virtual Learning
Students are expected to participate in the lessons and activities that their teachers post online daily. Every lesson will list:
A Learning Target- this explains what the intended learning is.
The Mini Lesson- may be a video or slide presentation created by the teachers.
A Student Task- this is what the student will complete to practice their learning.

iPad Public Service Announcement
Update from last week: The below message is very relevant. We continue to have kids on their WebEx each night between 11pm - 3am. This is not good for sleep in our little ones! Help your little one sleep better by taking the ipad away at night.
We DO NOT want or expect your students to be online all day long. When your children are at school, they are not on their ipads all day either (don't let them fool you!).
One thing I have seen that I am hoping you can help with is kids taking ipads to bed with them and staying up chatting with their friends at midnight or even later. This has been happening and it's not great for the kids. What can you do? You could try to have a space in the house (not in bedrooms) that the ipads charge at night. The kitchen is a great spot for this. Try this if you are up for it, it will be a great help!
Stay strong & ask if you need help!
I need more...
Here is another option - with ideas from all the subjects targeted at students in 1st-12th. Resource was provided by Milwaukee with Families.
