Newsletter Week 10, Term 3
Huirangi Primary School, Friday 1st October 2021
Kia Ora Koutou, Hello Everyone!
Well here we are at the end of Term 3, and what a term it has been! I know I may sound like a broken record, but thank you for resilience and patience through another lockdown. Coming back to school we wanted to get back to 'business and usual' as quickly as we could, and I think we achieved just that! The children have all returned calm and happy. Having 3 weeks off being at school has not seemed to have had any negative impact on our students or their academic achievement. This comes down to the love and support they receive from you, and the time and care they receive from their teachers. It truly does "take a village to raise a child". Thank you.
This weeks newsletter is a celebration of all the awesome things we have been doing this term. Sorry it's a long one!
I look forward to seeing all our tamariki refreshed and ready to for Term 4 on Monday 18th October. Enjoy the two week break.
Take care.
Ngā mihi nui,

Huirangi Home & School Fun Run Crazy Colour Day!
Thank you to all of you who supported your children in fundraising as part of this event. The total of the amount raised will be shared with you all after our next Home and School meeting.
Huirangi Pets Day 2021 - Change of date
If, at that date, we are still under Covid level 2, there will be a requirement of one parent only per child, with no other family or friends allowed. If however, we are in Covid level 1 we will be able to have a larger crowd outside.
Entries for calves and lambs has now closed.
Classroom creative entries have also been cancelled for this year.
Thank You!
A big thank you too to Rena Kettle who nominated our school to receive 5 native plants from Te Uru Rakau - NZ Forest Service, for an arbour day plant up! Hopefully He Puāwai can add these to their native plant 'forest' behind their classroom!
