Update from Your WWES School Site Council
Michael DiProfio, our SSC President, has sketched the below picture and legend to illustrate proposed changes to the parking lot. In short, the SSC has proposed realigning the parking lot so visitor and staff spots are located in two separate areas and are no longer spread out. In addition, clear lanes for dropping off and traffic movement will be painted.
If you have any feedback for the Council on the proposed changes, please email your SSC teacher leaders (Krissy, Colleen, and Liz) by Friday morning.
Legend
1. Solid Brown Lines with arrow - indicates the flow of continuous traffic
2. Broken Brown Lines - indicates the flow of drop-off traffic.
3. Red Lines - chain linked divider between sidewalk and driveway to discourage passenger drop-off and to designate a pedestrian walkway (2 identified areas)
4. Red Line hash marking - signage marker (ex. No drop-off zone)
5. Yellow Line Hash Zone - indicates drop-off zone. A portion of this zone is non-drop off as indicated by red lines and signage but is needed to indicated entry point. Actual portion for dropping off is a good length.
6. Grey Hash Marks - signage marker (ex. pull forward-drop off zone)
7. Light Blue Zone - indicates designated visitor parking spots (2 zones that are directly visible upon entry into parking lot for immediate decision making)
8. Dark Blue Zone - indicates designated teacher/staff parking spots
9. Orange Zone & Hash Mark - designated bus zone and respective signage
