FROM THE DESK OF MS. TAYLOR AND MR. RODRIGUEZ
Hello ESTLA Families,
Welcome to June! We are fast approaching the last day of school for 21-22 (June 9th) and preparing for changes typical to the end of a school year. Our current 8th are preparing to embrace new school buildings in the fall, and we are preparing to meet next year's fifth graders. While bittersweet, these changes are exciting, full of hope and promise! During this month, ESTLA will be completing final examinations, entering final grades and hosting closing activites & events. Please be on the look out for specific details on various events from your teachers. They will provide Talking Point messages, emails, and direct messages to students.
The month of June also allows to recognize Pride Month, we recognize the valuable contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals across our community.
And finally, once again, we are faced with saying farewell to some of our students as they prepare to enter High School. And it is always difficult to say goodbye to our kiddos for the summer, however, it is our hope that we will get to see many in the neighborhood or you can expect to hear from us via phone, email or text.
Take an opportunity to reflect on
the successes of the year and
explore what our students will face
next year! Recognize
accomplishments, celebrate
milestones, and more importantly hug
& squeeze every one of our students.
Our students possess the tools needed as they embark on new adventures.
REMINDER--you can sit with your students and review grades, assignments, projects and homework through Schoology. Simply look at the your Childs' Schoology page on their Chromebook.
PLEASE DO NOT drop students off in the middle of the street or across the street. YOU CAN ONLY DROP STUDENTS OFF IN THE LOOP (Picture and diagram below).
Upcoming Events:
June 3rd - 8th Grade Formal
June 7th - EARLY DISMISSAL
June 9th - LAST STUDENT DAY AND EARLY DISMISSAL
In service,
Christina Taylor, Principal, ctaylor@nasd.k12.pa.us
Mr. Joseph Rodriguez, Assistant Principal, jrodriguez@nasd.k12.pa.us

Child Guidance- More Free Parent Programs
I just wanted to reach out to let you know that we have some additional resources available to us and are able to provide a few more programs before the end of the school year! Families receive a $50 doordash gift card for dinner for each night of the program, and the kiddos all earn gift cards and gifts for their participation.
I have had some recent questions about this, and yes- families are able to do both Guiding Good Choices and Strengthening Families at the same time if they wish! They will still receive dinner gift cards each night they participate as well.
