Homecoming Parade 2021
Northwest Community Schools, in conjunction with STORM from Northwest High School, is sending a courtesy letter to you in advance of the Homecoming Parade. This may or maynot affect your travel time to and from your home.
Friday, October 1, 2021 is Homecoming. Our tradition of hosting a parade will cause traffic and road closures for a period of time. We are asking all of our participants to arrive at the District Office/Flora List parking lot at 4:00PM. Blackman Township Officers will begin road closures around 4:30PM. They will place a car on the north side of Flora List on Rives Junction Road, on Rives Junction Road and Van Horn Road intersection, and on Van Horn Rd and M50.
The Parade route begins at Flora List, moves south on Rives Junction Road, turns west on Van Horn Rd, and enters at the high school. Like many years before, people will line the roads as we celebrate and ring in Homecoming 2021. We invite you to join our traditions by sitting roadside for the parade, enjoying the Food Trucks at the NWHS, watching the football game at 7pm, and the Royalty announcement at halftime.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
NWHS STORM Co-Advisors,
Katie Christner and Emily Stepke

If you are unsure which form to fill out or have any questions please call our office at 817-4704.
Morning Drop Off Reminders
*Drop off begins at 8:15 am. Students must remain in vehicles until this time. This is extremely important! Staff will come out of the building at 8:15 am to signal the start of arrival.
There are two options to dropping off your student(s).
1. Follow the drive and pull up along the sidewalk. Staff will direct traffic to move ahead if possible. As soon as you are stopped please have your student safely and quickly exit the right side of the vehicle. *The quicker this happens, the faster we can move traffic through the campus.
2. Park in the gravel parking lot and walk your student to the crosswalk. Please do not have your student walk alone in the parking lot. It is a busy area and we want everyone to remain safe.
Please be patient and kind to others. We look forward to seeing you in the mornings!
