Students from the Architecture program took a tour and asked many questions of new construction in downtown Chandler. They toured a 4 story office building, 1 story commercial space, an outdoor recreation plaza, and a hotel and parking garage site. Thanks to Layton Construction and WhitneyBell Perry Inc, and especially project manager Lisa Shea.

Husky Marching Band

Congratulations to the Husky Pride Marching Band for being awarded First place at the Higley H.S Marching Competition last night. The band also received awards for Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding Percussion and Outstanding Colorguard. The Higley contest has a special award given by the audience to the band with their best show of the night. It is called the King's Choice award. We were blessed to receive the King's Choice Award also which comes with a $1,000 prize! Thanks to the boosters, parents and administration for helping us make last night a great success!

Girls Volleyball

The Girls Volleyball team has had a roller coaster of a season so far...ups and downs. Over the break they competed in the highly competitive NIKE tournament of Champions featuring the #1 team in the nation (Cathedral Catholic) and the #3 team (Matre Dei). The Huskies played some great volleyball and finished 4th out of the 96 teams. 2 of their 3 losses were to those two nationally ranked teams.

This past weekend they competed in the Southern California Invite in San Diego. They finished 2nd out of the 74 teams competing losing in the final to Torrey Pines. Sophomores Jordan Middleton and Micah Gryniewicz were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Hamilton's sister school in Dujiangyan, China

Assistant Principal, Mr. Baniszewski visited our sister school, Dujiangyan High School in China over fall break. It was an outstanding and very educational trip. It is his hope to represent The United State of America, the State of Arizona, the city of Chandler, the Chandler Unified School District and Hamilton High School with dignity in the future.

Chandler Sports Hall of Fame

The Chandler Sports Hall of Fame is conducting its annual fundraiser. Same as last year, we will raffle off 5 prizes and they are all tickets to the Phoenix Open. If you are a golf fan you will not want to miss this drawing. Grand prize is 2 suite tickets on the 16th Hole. I have attached the flyer with the information. The tickets are $20 and myself and Mr. Kevin Hartwig have tickets.

Swing by and buy a raffle ticket as the drawing will be held next month at our monthly CSHOF meeting.

Reminder, Hamilton will be hosting the Chandler Sports Hall of Fame
