Pandemic EBT benefits have been extended
P-EBT Extension
Over the summer of 2020, P-EBT provided food benefits to eligible school aged children for the months of March, April, May, and June 2020. Recently, California was approved to provide additional P-EBT benefits to children who already received P-EBT benefits for the months of August and September 2020. This is referred to as the “P-EBT Extension.”
Children eligible for P-EBT extension benefits:
- Previously received P-EBT benefits for the 2019-20 school year;
- Are attending a California K-12 school for the 2020-21 school year; and
- Are assumed to be attending school virtually or via a hybrid model of virtual and in-person instruction for the 2020-21 school year.
- MORE INFO CAN BE FOUND HERE.
Spotlight on Franklin Teachers!
Mr. Quach
Ms. Choi
My students call me Ms. Choi, and I love everything about teaching Kindergarten at Franklin. And look--my Writing Workshop Piggy joined me for the photo! Kindergarten marks a wonderful year of discovering writing, reading, and math powers; we also have amazing discussions about community, the seasons, weather, animals, holidays, and traditions among so many exciting topics. I learn a lot from my students, and I love hearing their perspectives on everything. When I am not teaching, I cook, read, play piano, sing, and write--sometimes alone, but mostly with friends and family.

Check SeeSaw and Google Classroom for Your Child's Independent Assignments!
Teachers assign math work, writing assignments, reading activities, and more. Students should be completing these during their "asynchronous" blocks on their weekly schedule.
Teachers check student assignments daily and provide feedback so students can see their successes and growth every week!
