Physical Geography
Location- Central and Eastern Europe.
Size- 1,500 km (932 miles) long across the Central and Eastern Europe.
Characteristics- It is a young mountain range that forms an arc. It is the second- longest mountain range in Europe. They provide a home for the largest population of brown bears, and wolves.

Effects on people- Lots of hiking

The mountains are divided into different regions. Each region has its own ethnic group. Most of the people live in the sloped areas. The higher steeper areas are not as populated.
