Classroom Walkthroughs

Please fill out the survey by Tuesday 9/29.

Thank you for your participation in our Classroom Walkthrough Survey. During walkthroughs there will be several areas of focus and specific look-fors such as: high-level questions; arts integration, and Socratic seminar discussions.

I am sure that staff reflections during the debriefing sessions will be positive, reveal areas of strengths and show patterns where professional development will be helpful. I know that you will all enjoy observing the learning in your colleagues’ classrooms and will be interested in replicating them with their students. This experience will continue to strengthen your collegial relationships and encourage interdisciplinary professional conversations. After each walkthrough, key observations of both teachers and students along with wonderings associated with each walkthrough will be shared as per the results of our survey. Once everyone has responded to the survey I will share the results and begin identifying areas of focus & specific look-fors.

I am looking forward to each of you opening your classrooms to your colleagues, to observe best practices to be replicated in daily instruction.
