Official site of Dr. Seuss and the Cat in the Hat featuring games, printable activities, the complete illustrated character guide, information about creator Theodor Geisel and his books for kids, parent and teacher resources, and a photo gallery of his artwork.
Listen to Ten Apples Up on Top (by Dr. Seuss) being sung to the melody of Jason Mraz’ song I'm Yours. It's great!
The Flashlight reading series of nine books literally takes students inside of the story with great activities and 3-D interactive images.
BookFLIX is an online literacy resource that pairs high-quality fiction books with related nonfiction books. Paired texts are a wonderful resource to help integrate literacy and social studies and science instruction and also a great way to get kids reading more nonfiction.
The site can be used during whole group instruction, or by individuals. It can be used at home or at school on any computer or device. The site contains many resources, too, such as Meet the Author and puzzles sections that are directly related to the texts. Some of the texts have a read feature.
