PCMS WEEKLY UPDATE
MAY 23, 2022
Good Afternoon PCMS Families!
We finally made it to the last week - even with mother nature thinking we needed a few extra days to get the job done! It seems like just a few months ago we were showing 6th graders how to open a locker, maneuvering through lunch, and watching the first volleyball and football games. It goes by so fast! Monday through Thursday are business as usual until Friday, when we'll clean out lockers for the last time. (Who knows what treasures we might find ;)
Thank you again for everything this year, and GO PIRATES!!

CHARACTERSTRONG FAMILY DARE: RECORD OF ACCOMPLISHMENT

CHECK OUT WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK
PIRATES IN ACTION
Congratulations to our Choirs and Bands on their final performances of the year last week! I love their spring concerts because you get to see firsthand how much they’ve grown and improved over the course of the year. Both groups performed amazingly well - super proud of them and their teachers!!
7th GRADE PRINGLES CHALLENGE
7th graders enjoyed taking on the Pringles Challenge! They made a plan on how to best stack an entire tube of Pringles into a ring. This STEM activity takes time and patience. Students learn about support structures and balance. It results in a lot of celebration and pictures as many of the teams were successful!
CHROMEBOOK COLLECTION ANNOUNCEMENT
For the summer of 2022, students currently in grades 6-11 are by default slated to keep their Chromebooks over the summer. We have heard from many of our parents that they do NOT want their student’s chromebook to come home with them over the summer. IF you do NOT want your student to bring it home for the summer, please complete the form below and we will store it for them over the summer. We will return it to them at registration in August. One form must be completed for each student at PCMS: https://forms.gle/ptojP8SiggpD6Xjt9

Each month our community focuses on a specific character trait, and students are recognized for exhibiting these traits: Self Confidence, Pride, Responsibility, Citizenship, Compassion, Individuality, Self Control, Integrity, Perseverance, Respect, Honesty, and Cooperation.
