If you can help, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Swim Team Holds Last Home Meets This Week
The pool will be opening about an hour late at noon on Sunday, July 2, when the swim team hosts all the other teams in its division for a Relay Carnival -- a rollicking fun competition of four-swimmer races.
While you're waiting to swim, you can grab lunch from the Kangaroo Kafe. Burgers, hot dogs, and lot of other yummy things on the menu.
On Sunday, July 9, the Kangaroos host the Twinbrook Tigers for their final home meet of the summer.
The pool will be closed for the meet until noon, but as with all the home meets the lifeguards will be up in the chairs sooner if possible.
A private lesson with our lifeguards for 30 minutes is $30; a semiprivate lesson for two or three budding swimmers is $45.
Nonmembers will be charged an additional one-time facility fee of $25 per individual or family, which will be reimbursed if the swimmer's family joins the pool this summer as a trial or full member.
To register for a lesson, contact the swim lesson coordinator at KMSCLessons@gmail.com.
A Message From Our President
We've had a few complaints about SuperSoaker use.
Summer is all about fun for kids so if the toys make an appearance again, the children will be directed to the grassy area by the basketball court (if it's not too busy) or be told to put them away (if it is busy). This should provide an appropriate balance between having fun and avoiding disruption.
If you observe any problem with SuperSoakers or other play around the pool, please bring it to the attention of a staff member on duty; if that doesn't do it, please let me know.
A list of our operating rules is available on our website: http://swim.kempmill.org/about/operating-rules/. If you have questions about an operating rule, please ask the manager on duty or send an inquiry to the board.
- Cynthia Brandt Campagna
