ED WHITE/DATA MS COUNSELOR'S CORNER
August 2021 Newsletter
Welcome to the 2021-22 School Year!
Hello Eagles!
We are so excited to begin a new year together! Our counseling support services team is here to support you with academic, social, and emotional needs. We are extra adults on campus here to advocate for you! We can't wait to meet you!
Let's have a great year!
What does a school counselor do?
School counselors are highly trained and support students in many ways in addition to the old idea of "guiding" students for academic purposes only. School counselors can provide emotional support, family intervention, social development, provide academic tools for success, and help students plan for their future.
School counselors make a positive impact in the lives of students. We have an amazing comprehensive school counseling program and continue to strive to make sure that 4 key components are met.
- Guidance Curriculum
- System Support
- Response Services
- Individual Planning
If you as a caretaker have a concern about your student, we are here to collaborate with you and provide assistance to making your student's middle school career successful. Please reach out to your student's school counselor according to their last names.
