In efforts to prepare for an excellent start and troubleshoot any kinks in the road, we will conduct two simulations.

UPDATE #10 KLEIN ONLINE SIMULATIONS

August 27-The first will be our Klein Online Simulation. This will be a full day from 8:00-3:00 and all students are eligible to participate. Teachers will be sending out zoom invites for their class. Students will need a fully charged laptop and a quiet place to work at home. The purpose of this simulation is to test a full day in the life of Zoom/Schoology and test our network.

August 31st- Mrs. Czepiel, Ms. Drake, Mrs. Walla and myself will host a follow-up parent meeting to troubleshoot any issues or field any questions regarding Schoology, Zoom, expectations, or schedules.

September 2nd- The second simulation will be a blend of Klein On Campus and Klein Online.This simulation will be half day from 8:00-11:30. Teachers will send out a sign up genius For their class. The first 8 students that sign up per class will be able to participate in the Klein On Campus Simulation. Students who chose Klein On Campus will come to Benignus on this day. Parents will not be permitted into the school building. Students who are online will need a fully charged laptop and a quiet work space at home. Please note that since the simulation is only half day, there will not be any transportation or meals provided. All students will be dropped off and picked up in the car rider line (Please refer to the drafted arrival and dismissal procedures) The purpose of this simulation is to test our blended learning approach, our network, campus procedures, and give students an opportunity to practice. Students who chose Klein Online will participate online.

Both simulations are optional, but we’d love for your child to participate in both if possible. After each simulation, students will provide simulation feedback and teachers and campus leadership will participate in debrief/reflection conversations.
