The Tiger in You...September 25, 2017
Tiger administrators were delighted to officially begin our first round of walk-throughs this past week. Students were engaged in learning and educators taught passionately about their content and shared stories to make meaningful connections. For example, we observed how students learned Spanish verbs through music. In another class, students researched American holidays and compared and contrasted American holidays to their own cultures. In CTE, students learned the benefits of budgeting and prepared for life after high school,
In ninety percent of the classes we observed, objectives were on the board, students collaborated with their peers, and teachers interacted with students to connect their learning. Thank you so much for encouraging students to persevere through their work and fostering a positive environment for all students to succeed!
It has been a phenomenal first four weeks of school. Let's keep pushing toward that next tier of success. Little things that go unnoticed become issues if unaddressed. Continue to stand outside your door and greet our students, have high expectations, be innovative, and expect nothing but the best from every student that enters your classroom. You make a difference at AMCHS--keep sharing the Tiger in you.
