Checks and balances

Checks and balances helps the branches to have the same amount of power by being able to check each other like for example: the legislative checks the executive by vetoing congressional legislation. The executive can check the legislative by controlling the budget and impeach the president if he does something wrong.
Separation of powers
When the government split up into three branches to have the same amount of power and to be strong and able to do stuff they couldn't do as one. It is important because it is how are government was made to be and should be like this to guide us and help us to be the awesome country we are today.
