Homework at the Intermediate
We will ensure that families are aware of what is being taught in the classroom. The student work will be sent home and parents are encouraged to review the work that has been sent home with their child. However, it will not be a requirement that students complete additional work at home to be turned in the following day.
In addition to reviewing work sent home with your students there are also other opportunities to support your young Warriors education. Each evening we hope that there would be time set aside for our children to read. Twenty to thirty minutes each evening would be ideal. In math, the more fluent our students are with their basic facts the easier it becomes for them to grasp more complex concepts. Taking some time each evening to practice those facts will be extremely beneficial. Depending on your child's grade level and that could range from addition and subtraction through multiplication and division. Being fluent with these facts will help your child focus on the process of more complex questions.
Please feel free to contact me or your child's teacher if you have any questions regarding this change.
Proud to be a Warrior,
