Information from Ms. Pam and Miss Nikki:
Using the READSquared app (free in the App store or on Google Apps), log your minutes of reading this summer to earn points. Use those points in the app to try for some great prizes.
Each time you visit the library:
---vote on the hair color that both Miss Nikki and Ms. Pam will have at the ending Extravaganza on July 31.
---check out books, and drop the number of marbles into our marble maze equal to the number of books that you are checking out.
---Earn 1000 points and congratulations, you have completed summer reading! All youth age 18 and under who complete Summer Reading will:
- get to choose a book to keep
- get to attend our Walking Scavenger Hunt and Chalk Art Extravaganza on July 31, and
- all KES students who complete the Kirtland Public Library Summer Reading will get a surprise at school in the fall.
We will also have great programming in the summer. Earn 50 points for each program you attend, and each program has a pin to collect. Collect them all!

Math - DreamBox
In contrast to last summer, we do not have set expectations this summer for Dreambox use. However, your student is welcome to use it if he/she desires and if you're looking for additional math work. PLEASE do not assist your student with this program as it is adaptive and adjusts to the individual learner. Too much adult assistance can lead to the student advancing beyond his/her independent ability.
Literacy - Lexia Core 5
Students will login to Lexia via Clever under "District Resources". Click here for Lexia Core5 Support for Families, including information on how to login.
