Eric's TOHS Weekly Update
For the week of: December 8-14
From Eric's Desk:
Good morning All,
A mixed bag of information this week:
First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who had a hand in a successful Future Lancer Night. I've been getting positive feedback through formal and informal channels. The one piece of consistent info that I have received is, not surprisingly, concern over the state of our facilities (see facility committee below).
I also want to recognize five teachers who have recently won grants:
- Heather Farrell won a $700 field trip grant from Target.
- Lisa Ravitch won a Cash 4 Conejo grant from the CSF. It'll be used for a field trip.
- Ashley Cooper won a Cash 4 Conejo grant from the CSF. It'll be used to support the NGSS mentor program.
- Melissa Wood-Glusac won a Cash 4 Conejo grant from the CSF. It'll be used to purchase a set of Writer's Practice Books.
- Rhonda Frohn won a Cash 4 Conejo grant from the CSF. It'll be used to purchase a set of AP Prep Books.
Congrats to All!
Eric

Recycling!
The Environmental club is finally ready to resume the Recycling program on campus starting tomorrow. 🙂
The NEW recycle day will be FRIDAYS!
On Friday (tomorrow), please place your paper and cans/bottles bin outside your room at the BEGINNING of 5th period.
We appreciate your help and support with the recycle program. We know that custodial has been emptying the cans and they have been asked to stop and leave the recycle for our club to remove on Fridays.
Please remind students where your recycle bins are in your classroom and not to through food or trash into them.
If for some reason you need a new bin please send me your room number and which bin you need replaced.
Attached is a reminder on what to recycle and what not to recycle.
Thank you and Happy Recycling!
