TES Weekly Update

April 3, 2016

A Few Words...

Welcome April! I hope you all have enjoyed your time off! I am happy to say that it felt like it went by slowly me :) It was so exciting to watch Born to Explore on Saturday. The students were very engaged and Mr. U & Mr. Calderwood did an incredible job sharing their perspectives of the impact on student learning with using Skype to enhance the learning experience.

For grades 3-6, a PARCC Infrastructure trial needs to be completed with your class this week either in the lab or on the chromebooks in your classroom. Please let me know when you will be running it. Directions, including tutorials, were shared earlier this week. You will find additional information in your mailboxes Monday. This is the link to the session days and testing minutes:

A detailed schedule including locations, times, test administrators and student groups will be shared by Tuesday.

Please communicate with your support teachers of when you are trial testing this week so they can participate in the process as well, especially if they have been identified as a Test Administrator. PARCC training will take place during the faculty meeting on Tuesday and non PARCC teachers will have a different focus with Janet.

The DEAC/ScIP committee needs to check in as a whole group to review what the subgroups (mentoring/PD have worked on). The Curriculum Committee needs to meet as well. I will be emailing these groups with possible times to meet.
