Great Kindness Challenge
During the week of January 23-27, TES will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge (http://www.greatkindnesschallenge.org/). We are looking for family volunteers to come in during this week to assist students with kindness craft activities during recess times. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Nicole Young (nicole.young@tyngsboroughps.org) with your available day(s) and times. For scheduling purposes, we ask that volunteers commit to either the 10:40-11:25 or 11:45-1:30 time block, if possible.
*Please return Floor Hockey Registration Forms and Payment as soon as possible. Space is limited.
Thank you for your support!
Our student council members voted to donate the funds collected on Ugly Sweater Day to the Lowell Transitional Living Center (LTLC), a homeless shelter on Middlesex St. in Lowell, MA. I mailed this check today. :) See a brief description and stat highlights of the shelter below.
- 1,268 homeless adults—many who have addiction, mental health or physical challenges—received shelter and services at LTLC in 2015.
- 115,000 meals were served to LTLC residents and very low-income members of the community.
- 90 beds year round for adults 18 and older, and we’re nearly always at capacity
- 60 emergency beds for the street homeless in winter 2015.
The Lowell Transitional Living Center is the largest homeless shelter and support organization north of Boston. We provide shelter, food, services and support for the chronically homeless and those left homeless by crisis—job loss, illness, fire or other disaster.

Message from Senorita Frechette
Attention parents of students in Grade 3, 4 and 5:
If your child would be interested in practicing Spanish at home online, I have a limited amount of student e-licenses available for the DESCUBRE online text book we use in class.
If you are interested, please email directly at jill.frechette@tyngsboroughps.org and I will respond with the appropriate log in information.
Again, there is a limited amount of these online licenses available, therefore, it will be first come, first served. Gracias, Señorita Frechette.
