Child Shaped Cut Outs
We’ve had some questions about the child cut outs. Let’s Unite for Children’s Safety: All Children have a Voice!
- Discuss with students that part of our job as educators is to ensure student safety at home and at school. If someone is ever hurting them or someone they know, they need to have a voice and share with someone they trust at school or home.
- Encourage students to decorate the cut out as themselves.
- Children decorate by: March 31st. Hang outside classrooms near the bottom of the wall, holding hands… as Coker Unites for Children’s Safety because All Children have a Voice… by April 7th.
Child cut outs can be picked up in the admin workroom with the mailboxes.

Caught Being a Leader
Deanna Schattel and Ginny Walsh did an absolutely amazing job with the Reading Pep Rally today! Their thought and preparation made today’s event a success. Thanks goes out to Jennifer Sanchez and Robert Turriff for dressing as Clifford and Carlton! Your enthusiasm was contagious! Lorey Meredith… thank you for lending your class to help making our Pep Rally memorable!!! Today was a prime example of synergizing!
LiM Implementation
As of today, 67% of staff have made progress towards our campus goal by meeting the Leader in Me classroom environment expectations. Congratulations to all teachers on the first grade team who has reached 100%!
Please be sure to meet the expectations before leaving campus today so that we can reach the campus goal of 100% and be ready for the eight other schools that will visit our campus for this coaching event.

Community Education Online Courses
NEISD Community Education has a program that makes it easy to take affordable, high-quality, instructor-led courses online. Our educational specific courses are just some of growing catalog of more than 300 instructor-facilitated online courses. Through well-crafted lessons, expert online instruction, and interaction with fellow students, participants in these courses gain valuable knowledge at their convenience. They have the flexibility to study at their own pace combined with enough structure and support to complete the course. And they can access the classroom 24/7 from anywhere with an Inter net connection.
New sessions of each course run every month. They last six weeks, with two new lessons being released weekly (for a total of 12). The courses are entirely Web-based with comprehensive lessons, quizzes, and assignments. A dedicated professional instructor facilitates every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions. Students seeking continuing education requirements should consult their professional development coordinator.
