Ball Park Newsletter - #7
October 12 -16
Principal's Message
Dear Jackie Robinson K- 8 Community,
Please take a look at the following reminder:
Teachers at each school in the Long Beach Unified School District will participate in two days of professional development during the month of October as we continue to improve our online instruction. For our school, Jackie Robinson, those two training days will take place on:
October 14
October 22.
During those days, students will not experience direct instruction using Zoom in a large group setting but will continue with asynchronous (non-teacher directed) learning activities. Teachers will provide additional details to their students.
I appreciate your understanding as we continue to work together to help enhance student learning.
Please on the look out for an email tomorrow from Panorama Education. Our district is putting out a survey to get feedback from you on our start to the year. Help our school by completing this survey. The survey ends on October 30. You may also take this survey by going to your ParentVue account.
With appreciation for all your continued support,
Salvador Madrigal
Principal
Salvador Madrigal

Important Information from Dr. Hosn..
Daily participation and engagement in CANVAS helps your child feel better about school. School success goes hand in hand with school attendnace. Our Dolphins have 3 major responosibilites: engage in learning, complete assignments on time, and stay in touch with teachers.
Parents can help too by:
*Establishing a routine for bed time and for the morning for your child
*Checking on your child’s attendance regularly (ParentVue)
*Encouraging your child to log in to CANVAS account, participate and engage unless he/she is truly sick
*Calling the school and provide notes when your child is absent
*Communicate with your teacher or Office to report any technology problems.
Master Schedule: Ths Monday October 12 is M(alternating Monday) which means that students attend the Tuesday/Thursdays electives and PE Class. Monday Calendar
