The Bear Tavern Parent Newsletter - Spring 2016

Our Time is NOW...

Note from the Principal:

Dear Bear Tavern Families,

I hope that you are having a great Spring Break. When school re-opens, we will be getting ready for the 4th Marking Period; the home stretch of the year. We are looking forward to a outstanding Spring!

I'd like to thank you for your continued support. We've accomplished a lot this year, so far, but we've only just begun. We have all of the tools in our school and our community to continue to make Bear Tavern an extraordinary and innovative place to learn and to become active citizens, problem-solvers and great people.

Don't forget, if you are interested in contributing time, ideas or resources to our Outdoor Learning Center / Garden Project, please click here (and feel free to tell a friend).

I'd like to thank Ms. Murray's 5th grade class for producing the video portion of the newsletter. They did a fantastic job. Enjoy!

If you have any questions or need anything at all, please reach out.

Article of the Month:

A monthly article for parents to help foster the connection between home and school. We may send a content-specific article to help parents assist their children with homework, understand current best practices in education, or an article that helps support the social-emotional growth of students, etc. Just like we want our students to learn every day, it is critical that, as adults, we continue to model thinking and learning right along with them!

This month's article gave me a lot to think about as a parent, so I wanted to share it. Enjoy!
