A huge thank you to Katherine & TJ Flannery along with Lisi Nielsen for taking on the leadership for the club. They're first meeting will be on Feb. 12th at 2 pm at the Chisago County Community (Senior) Center in North Branch. If you are an independent 4-H member and are looking for a club, check them out!

We are trying to start teams for Chisago County in both Plant Science Bowl & also a team for Crop Scouting this year!

Interested? Just want to try it out? Contact the office. ASAP so we can try and get some teams going.

We are excited to kick off our annual cheese fundraiser and hope you will join us in helping raise funds for the Chisago County 4-H program. Remember, 10% of the profit earned by each club is returned to the club.

Club leaders will be handing out forms & instructions to members. Contact your club leader for more information.

Teens, join us for an engaging morning workshop to learn about Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s)- the paid staff who support individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD) to live their lives and enjoy the same opportunities and experiences as people without disabilities. DSP’s support people in whatever ways they need to enhance inclusion and independence.

This workshop will be held Saturday, February 18, from 10 a.m. - Noon at Bunker Hills Activities Center in Andover. This workshop is open to any youth in 4-H 6th grade and older from the central region. Register in 4-H Online by February 16. Special bonus- all 4-H’ers who attend will receive a $15 gift card!

We will talk about DSP’s and other professions that are available in the disability field. We will examine what your personal skills are and how they relate to jobs in the disability field. Learn more on our website!

Spend the day in one of our awesome state parks and learn about the outdoors by slowing down and appreciating all winter has to offer with snowshoeing, skiing, and building community with fellow youth from Minnesota!

WHO: All youth in grade 3+
WHEN: Saturday, February 18, 9:30 am – 3:00 pm
WHERE: Wild River State Park
COST: $10.00/person
(each vehicle will be responsible for purchasing an MN State Park pass ($5) to enter the park).

Our favorite STEM judge (Professor Erick Agrimson from St. Catherine University) is coming to lead us on how to build and launch rockets this coming March & April!

March 3rd - Turn in Cheese Tally sheets & money to the office

March 11th - Build Rocket Project

April 1st - Each family pick up cheese orders from Kost Church 11:30 am-1:30 pm

April 15th - Rocket Launch Day!

April 22nd - Food Show/Festival of Nations
